I think this is one of the hardest discussions for me to come up with an answer for because there are so many research questions that I am interested in learning more about. After pondering a lot about it I think one of the research questions I am really interested in is how gender stereotypes develop, how they change, and how the gender of the person influences their stereotypes? My hypothesis would be that gender stereotypes would be more common in children when we are comparing them to adults. When looking at both men and women, I would predict men are more stereotyped. Some of the key variables, in this case, would be age, and gender.

I think these two are the key variables because if I was to do a study I will focus on how these two variables are correlated to gender stereotype. The Independent variable in my study would be gender stereotypes and the dependent variables will be age and gender. When collecting data I will make sure I add both female and male populations from different age groups (children, teenagers, and adults). I think the only ethical issue that can arise when studying this topic would be the vulnerable group.

I might end up including people who are very vulnerable in my research without knowing it. Another ethical issue that can arise is the design of my study. Since I only have four years of research experience; there is a lot about researching I still don’t know. I can possibly have an unethical aspect of my study without knowing about it.
