SIMULATION ANALYSIS

I was very excited on my recently promotion as a special project manager atSmartShoe. It is was big challenging as I got some special order from one of ourlargest retail customer, AllStar Sports, was running promotion in three months andneeded a very large order of technology enabled football shoe delivered in just 10weeks from today.

This being my first big project after the recent promotion I wasin immense pressure to earn as much as possible. A value chain includes the activities that take place within a company in order todeliver a valuable product or service to their market.

During my project I need toknow how to understand this chain and with my understanding how to earn mostprofit. I have decided to go for maximum production that was 4500 units. The idea behinddeciding is that we have been in shoe making business and we know how to maketechnology enabled shoes.

I always believe to deliver best quality shoes anddecided to go with 70 Quality rating. It was lying on the premium range whichmeant we had a possibility of earning $85-$100 per shoes.

I have decided to go with “Join a Buying group” to save 15% on raw material.With all honesty it was a difficult decision for me as I was more inclined towards“Receive Just-in-Time Delivery” which could have removes the little risk ofgetting delay in raw material delivery.
