Today, I’d like to talk about education and the severe importance it bears. Over the years I’ve met many people whose good grades came naturally to them.
And I’ve also met many people who have struggled to attain those good grades. I could see the positive points of being able to do well in school so easily, like more free time, but I often didn’t see those kids as people who appreciated their education or their potential.
Those who were struggling I also saw struggling to see the point in trying so hard.My parents were always strong advocates for education. They believe there isn’t much toa person without it – it makes you a well rounded person. My dad was someone who drilled this into me from a very, very young age.
He told me that I was never going to learn everything I needed to in school, so I had to learn it on my own. I knew what he meant, because oftentimes I was left with many questions about subjects that I would need to answer on my own, but I never felt the drive to really teach myself anything.
