The process of obtaining and opening a LinkedIn account can be considered quite easy, and it involves much fewer efforts than creating and opening an account from other social networking sites.
As mentioned before,a LinkedIn account is mostly used for professional purposes. In this regard, any user can create an account such that they can use this account to connect with other professionals in their industry or line of work to either expand their networks or connect to existing networks.
Like other social networking sites, LinkedIn can be beneficial for establishing relationships and connecting with others. Once an individual creates a LinkedIn account, the user can expand his/her social connections and outreach.
Setting up LinkedIn Account
The process of creating an account begins with visiting LinkedIn.com. After connecting tothe website, the user would sign up by entering his/her name, email, as well as a password by clicking, “join LinkedIn today, the individual seemingly begins the registration process” (Leslie, 2016).
To confirm the credentials of the details entered, a confirmation is sent by email to the new user. The next step involves editing the user’s profile and this is facilitated through uploading a profile picture and including other personal details such as the user’s subheading, location, and industry name.
